This Home for Christmas quilt features fabric from the Holiday Lodge collection by Deb Strain for Moda Fabrics. I really enjoyed making this one and look forward to the next one by Deb Strain. When I was unfolding this one, Luke said “Mom its not perfect”. As I kept unfolding it and he saw the truck, he said “Wait mom, look, I see it now, It’s perfect!”. It’s my favorite piece of our December or Christmas collection. 

I just loved these truck and tractor panels and wanted to make a wall hanging, however its probably better as a door hanging!

Ok so look and see if you can see where I ran out of fabric for the vertical strip on the left between the truck and the center block. So I did what my teach said and pieced my scraps together. Well she had always said to do it on I diagonal, so I did. Well apparently I did it the hard way because I could have done it straight across. There are 2 seams in there, can you see them?

This quilt was made for Daniel’s 3rd birthday and his new big boy room and big boy full sized bed! Made with several different fabric lines and designed by me, but it would never have been done if it hadn’t been for Mary Annis working on it and teaching me! 

Made with Northcott’s Stonehenge and a border print I got at Hobby Lobby. I designed this one using alternating Ohio star blocks and Aunt Dinah blocks. Mary Annis my amazing teacher did much more on this one than I did but I did help and learn a lot! It fits a queen size bed. I made it for our 5th wedding anniversary! 

My very first quilt and the start of my new addiction made from the ‘Animal Spirits’ collection by Sue Coccia for Robert Kaufman Fabrics. Mary Annis was just going to do this one for me for Daniel’s room, but she ask if I wanted to help and just sew a few straight lines to say I helped make it.  I can still remember being so excited and nervous to sew.
